ReShelter

Reimagining Waste,
Rebuilding Futures

We collect tents abandoned at festivals, fix them up, and get them to people who need shelter. What can't be repaired becomes something useful — and every sale goes back to the shelters.

How It
Works

Every year, thousands of tents get left behind at festivals across Europe. Most of them are perfectly usable. We go and get them.

01

Collect

After festivals end, we collect the tents people left behind. Most are in decent shape — they just weren't worth carrying home on a train.

02

Repair & Donate

Usable tents get cleaned and donated directly to homeless shelters in Switzerland. No markup, no middlemen — they go where they're needed.

03

Upcycle & Sell

Tents too damaged for shelter use are sewn into pencil cases, tote bags, and laptop sleeves. Every sale goes back to the shelters.

Why We
Started This

ReShelter started as a CAS service project at the International School of Zug and Luzern. We noticed that festival season leaves thousands of tents behind — most of them still usable. At the same time, around 2,000 people are estimated to be homeless in Switzerland.

That felt like a solvable problem. So we started collecting, cleaning, and donating. What began as a small school project has grown into something we're genuinely proud of.
